Initially a self-published ebook released on Gumroad on January 21st 2022, Game Boy Coding Adventure has transitioned to a physical format on October 25th 2025 thanks to No Starch Press.

Eight months after its release, the book continues to earn highly positive reviews, carrying forward the momentum of its humble but successful debut on Gumroad. It reached the #1 spot in the Assembly Language Programming category on Amazon (see Figure 1) and maintains high rankings in both Game Programming and Introduction & Beginning Programming.
